Re: Sony Z3 compact, Marshmallow 6.0.1 update -> no rsap con

Haha, seems as if, yes. Just to add for completeness: it's from Bluetooth+, a patch for supplying HID and ANT+ profiles to Android as well as a patch to partially mitigate the recently discovered severe vulnerabilities of the bluetooth stack. The latter was the reason I installed it under Lollipop w...

Re: Sony Z3 compact, Marshmallow 6.0.1 update -> no rsap con

UPDATE: After crosschecking the two Marshmallow systems I found that in mine there was a libbluetooth.qualcomm.so that redirected to a libz2_bt_patch.so. Don't know where that comes from and just deleted the link. Seems as if this cured the problem as it connected flawlessly after that. Will try aga...

Re: Sony Z3 compact, Marshmallow 6.0.1 update -> no rsap con

Yep, thought so, too, after reading something about this somewhere on the board here. Yes,I have bluetooth.msm8974.so beside bluetooth.default.so residing there. Best, Carsten P.S. In the meantime I experimented some more and figured out that RSAP can run okay on Marshmallow as my girlfriend has the...

Sony Z3 compact, Marshmallow 6.0.1 update -> no rsap connect

Hi, just upgraded my Sony Z3 compact to Marshmallow 6.0.1. So far so good, the drivers installed correctly as far as the installation app tells, all socket and sim connections are green, but when trying to connect to the car it fails. I already tried unpairing and pairing again, but the car unit nev...

Re: SMS Plugin

I can confirm that there is a way of writing SMS to the Android database even with higher versions of Android such as KitKat or Lollipop.

Re: Discover Pro, Sony Xperia Z compact - connection problem

Sorry to say that but I already tried that in the meantime but with no success. Mk.2 btw is the only version that can communicates with the SIM card, the other versions produce errors. The first cannot communicate with the socket, the Mk.3 says card reset something...

Discover Pro, Sony Xperia Z compact - connection problems..

Hi, after switching cars, I now have a Discover Pro head unit with Business Premium phone kit. Connection to RSAP is shortly established, but then disconnected while the head unit says "search for phone". It is never asked for a PIN during that process. With my old Premium phone kit though it worked...

Duh, late but maybe still interesting for some users experiencing the same problem:
Contacts will only transfer if FTP-Server for BT is disabled in BT settings.

Re: Change in RSAP behavior from v2.2.1 to v2.3.x

Yes, I repeated the process before trying other versions with no success. And I repeated it again a cillion times during trying out the various versions.

Re: Change in RSAP behavior from v2.2.1 to v2.3.x

Hmm, strange, out of curiosity I re-installed version 2.3.1 over my now working installation and it still works...More and more I think the BT implementations are all more or less crap...
