Re: Icon rSAP not connected
Oh, that's a pitty! Noooo, don't worry! I am fine with it. I just need to get used to that icon, not to think at first sight that I have a new message. it was good to understand the reasons for that! Now that i know the background i agree with you, that an option is not an option. ;-) Thank you for ...

Icon rSAP not connected
Hi! Yesterday I installed the latest build of this ROM for the Desire S. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031694 rSAP works (like with the older versions) fine with it. But since this version I suddenly have a small icon in the upper left corner in the status bar. It tells me all th...

Re: Unstable connection since last update of installer
If you will use the DUN plugin It is also important to note that you will have to decide: either you connect phone+media player with your VW RNS or you connect phone+data with your VW
It seems that the RNS can't handle both at the same time... At least that is my experience.

Re: Switch GPS source
I just tested it this afternoon, and ROM-build-in GPS switch seems to work. I tried with Osmand Navi App and it updated the location very well. It did not work with Google Maps, but the reason for this might be that I was online by DUN connection only.
I will do some further tests.

Re: Desire S ICS and DUN
I sent you the logs by email. One is from a 4.2.1 CM ROM (nothing happening at all), the other log is from a 4.1.2 CM ROM (DUN says "Error"). Both using the same Andromadus kernel. In the meantime I got it (partially) working!!! :-) At least with the 4.1.2 ROM. I think it is a maybe related to this ...

Re: Switch GPS source
Seems you're right. I did some research on that feature. It seems that CM-based ROMs have it already included. http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/21096-support-for-external-bluetooth-gps/ On the Google Play Market there are also some Apps (called "GPS Provider") that make the use of external GPS sou...

Re: Switch GPS source
Currently I am "playing" with these 2 ROMs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1903496
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=2031694
I see it in "Systemeinstellungen --> Standort-Zugriff --> GPS-Quelle" (Sorry, I was too lazy to switch the system language)

Switch GPS source
Hi! I noticed, that after I have connected to my VW RNS510, I have a new GPS source called "VW Phone" in my location settings of my ICS Android. I don't know if/what happens, when I switch this from internal GPS to the car's GPS, but maybe it would be interesting to implement a feature, that automat...

Re: Desire S ICS and DUN
I'm having almost same issue... but from the beginning: I was trying to find a kernel, that has build-in support for the ppp_async. I tried some different Sense-based and AOSP ROMs, but none of them worked. The DUN plugin always stayed in Idle-Mode. So I set up a build environment and compiled the k...

Re: Jelly Bean 4.2 & Bluetooth
Yes, it is very strange in fact. Currently I am on Jelly Time R28 (4.1.2) on the Desire S, but I never got the title info with any ROM I have tried (CM9, CM10, HTC-Sense based, or different AOSP) - except with your Bluetooth.apk. Isn't this something that should work in general? I mean, maybe I can ...
