Re: Phonebook in MFD but not in RNS display

Hey thanks for everything. It ended up doing my head in, So I sold my Nexus 4 and went back to an iPhone 5. Let me stress I will miss Android, but something about Nexus and my car just don't seem to gel. FYI I had a 2009 VW Golf GTI Pirelli (some say 2008), with an RNS510 ~ No nexus device worked pr...

Re: Phonebook in MFD but not in RNS display

With your phonebook app, should I be allowing the car to pull the contacts from the phone, or should I deny it access (this is the paid for version, not the free version). Additionally do i tick the do not ask me again option.

Re: Phonebook in MFD but not in RNS display

Yeah I will root my phone, just waiting for an update to this ( http://www.wugfresh.com/ ) to 1.6.3 as then it includes Android 4.2.2 Once that is done I can post the log for my phone, but unfortunately my friend doesnt want me to root his SGS2 (and I can't blame him as I don't trust myself either),...

Re: Does RSAP work on Nexus 4?

Did you redo the Bluetooth pairing after installing my phonebook app? Yes, But I never restarted the Nexus 4 before re-doing the pairing (and as I mentioned previously, I still dont have root....but I think you mentioned you dont need root for that app). Also in your app I had both options ticked (...

Re: Does RSAP work on Nexus 4?

No issues with Phone to Car - All works great and as expected with the MDF (Phonebook etc) Issues with Phone to RNS510 - Will not pull up the phonebook at all, cannot add Speed Dials. This issue originally started with 4.1.2 (or possibly the update before 4.1.2) with my Galaxy Nexus and now with my ...

Re: Does RSAP work on Nexus 4?

rSAP will most probably not help if you have problems with phonebook transfer. It only helps if you have a VW "Premium" car phone. Let me stress it transfers fine to the MFD even without additional programs, it is purely not displaying on my RNS510 (ie no speed dials or phonebook access on the RNS5...

Phonebook in MFD but not in RNS display

Sorry, but you need root to install the rSAP system files. Are you (or someone else here) able to post a real 'dummy's' guide to rooting my Nexus 4? I am happy running stock android and am currently running 4.2.2 but if someone could explain the simple steps then I will take the leap to get the con...

Re: Does RSAP work on Nexus 4?

I can confirm the paid for version does not work with my Nexus 4 and RNS510, but I don't have root on my phone to install the program from the link you have supplied? Is there a way to do it without root access as I really don't want to have to go down that line :( FYI...Contacts display fine on my ...
