I took a quick look at the Google rSAP: it hangs when the car requests the end of the connection. After that the phone is no longer usable until you reboot it. I've never had to reboot the phone, just toggle bluetooth off/on once bluetooth disconnects (possible via various apps). It's worked on all...

Gerik, you might get away with just cycling the bluetooth as it worked flawlessly for my 5x on MDB808L.

Just updated to MMB29K so I should find out later if this has now been resolved.

Cool, given nothing has changed on the bug I filed I doubt it'll be fixed yet but it'll be good to confirm.

The workaround using trigger to cycle the bluetooth is working flawlessly for me so I'd definitely suggest that or a similar solution until it's fixed :)

I've not had to reset the car side of things yet, only toggle bluetooth.

I've just installed 'Trigger' as in it's free version it can cycle the bluetooth on bluetooth disconnect. It seemed to work OK this morning but time will tell if it's useful or not.

My 5X arrived today (UK preorder from play) and I can confirm that I also get exactly the same behaviour. Works out of the box but on leaving the car the BT connection appears to stay active until it's BT has been cycled. Any suggestions for a more automatic work around? Edit: added an issue to goog...
