Re: Asus Padfone (first generation) / Qualcomm based RIL

I sent you an email with the logs.
The phone tells me that it is connected via RSAP.

I attached a screenshot.

Asus Padfone (first generation) / Qualcomm based RIL

Hi there, it's been a while since I wrote in this forum. I updated my smartphone to a ASUS Padfone (first generation) and had no RSAP support. I recently read your post about the Nexus 4 and was very happy about the progress with the Android RSAP libs. I did a first test with the free trial app, but...

Re: Kernel module for HTC Vision (Desire Z/G2) CM 7.1

I installed CM 7.2 today and the DUN plugin works out of the box without the need to build a seperate kernel module. I recommend to anyone to do the upgrade.

Kernel module for HTC Vision (Desire Z/G2) CM 7.1

It's been a while since I posted on this forum and I noticed that the DUN plugin had been released. After some digging into the Android kernel source for CM 7.1 I finally got my own module up and running. It is compiled for the stock CM 7.1.0 kernel for the HTC Vision, it won't work if you flashed a...

Re: Mobile network stays disabled after using rSAP

I'm back from my holidays and from what I can tell, version 1.1 works fine 9 out of 10 times. There must be something with HTC kernels, that does not work well in version 1.2.

Re: rSAP GPRS modem support

I found the sources for rfcomm for HTC builds. They can be downloaded as part of the HTC bluez implementation for the Desire Z on the HTCdev website. So I think rfcomm is not really a problem for HTC ROMs. And I think most people with a rooted phone sooner or later try to overclock their phones, at ...

Re: Mobile network stays disabled after using rSAP

Ok I did my tests yesterday and it worked like it should. After using rSAP, the mobile network came back like it should. I would say, there seems to be a problem with the Nexus fix, at least on Sense enabled kernels. I will do more testing in the next few days, I'm going to Austria for a week, so it...

Re: rSAP GPRS modem support

So just a few things that have come to my mind: 1.) you mentioned earlier, that you need hcitool, sdptool and rfcomm. Do you still need them with the new approach? 2.) could you provide a website with the needed steps to compile a kernel module for the kernel of choice? So everyone, who wants to try...

Re: Mobile network stays disabled after using rSAP

Hmm I'm afraid, that I don't have the previous version anymore. I recently updated the installer app from the market and got the latest files that way.

Can you provide me the apk?

Re: rSAP GPRS modem support

Wow this is pretty good news! With my Windows Mobile device, the internet connection in my car was also pretty slow, but that is because the car kit does not use edge, but only gprs. Some newer car kits may use 3G, but only the slow version, not HSDPA. It should be enough for traffic warnings when u...
