Thank you. I forgot to mention that I disabled that setting, but it was automatically enabled once connecting to the carkit again. Does disabling work for you (permanently)?

Is there a way to disable the native RSAP functionality in the HTC One M8? I prefer to use the Android RSAP app since that means I don't have to enter the SIM pin code after leaving the car (and I don't want to disable the SIM pin). Normally the Android RSAP will connect automatically to the carkit,...

Yes, works without a glitch. For additional safety you can install Boot Unlocker (requires root) to lock and unlock the boot loader with the flip of a switch.

I just completed the upgrade yesterday. If you have the Android rSAP app installed, the update will fail and complain about a (modified) system file. The solution is easy. Use the rSAP installer app to remove the system files. After that you can apply the 4.4.1 update (direct link: http://android.cl...

I've just tested it (HTC One X, rooted, stock ROM, software 1.28) and it does not work (as expected). The phone goes into flight mode, but carkit (Volkswagen Premium) keeps connecting and ends with error.

I'd be happy if rsap support will become available, but I doubt it.
