htc wildfire

Post by cdrinceanu » Thu Apr 07, 2011 4:33 pm

Hello,
after we launched the program I see:
Bluetooth state: SDP record fix failed
Sim state: rSAP system files not installed properly.
What can I do.

Look for an app called "Superuser". If it is there and runs your phone should be rooted. Or download the free ROM Manager from Market. It will tell you on startup.

First you may check your operating system version. If it is already 2.2.1 your phone cannot be rooted yet. You'll have to wait until some smart hacker finds a loophole.

Hello,

Does that means that wildfire under 2.2.1 can't be used for car kit connections?

I can connect to my VW passat for a one shot, then it's blocked and I need to soft reset. This is unacceptable for me while driving and HTC is not willing to support this issue as they push back to the car. (I had the same issue with a BMW).

So if no solution for the wildfire, I understand that either I wait for a new firmware to be car kit compliant or I change my phone :|

Tell me what I should do....

You connect with Handsfree Profile or with rSAP?

Hello,

Currently I connect with the phone build-in app. No specific app used at the time.

rSAP is not used already as my phone is not rooted, I've the original 2.2.1 version.

If you are not using rSAP I cannot really help you. I don't know much about the Handsfree implementation in Android.

But I guess when the same issue happened with the same phone and two different cars there is probably something broken in your phone.
