Now that there are custom ROMs availble for the HTC Sensation I could take a look at the RIL and Radio files and I also received first feedback from users.

It looks like the party is over...

HTC changed something in the radio software so currently rSAP will not run on the HTC Sensation! Sorry.

Hi

Great work with the rsap app. Thumbs-up.
Is there any solution to the sensation problem with rsap as You see it.

Regards

In the meantime I got me a Sensation but did not yet find time to do further investigations. So still no news.

Hi,

just wanted to check if you had any chance to look into the sensation last days? Looking forward to buy a sensation but would really love to have rSAP runing. Thanks for your support!

Hi !

I have absolutely the same problem (with Skoda Colombus vs HTC Senstion) and experience,
regarding rSap.(htc rooted, rsap installed and failed)

I would be VERY HAPPY, if there were a solution !

THX in advance !

Hi !

Is there any hope, to get support in the future? There are many people,
who have - and will have - the same problem, and I think we would of course
pay for the solution/program.

If no solution planned: Please help to choose, wich one is the latest model from
htc which works with rSap and carkit?

thx 4 help !

It's just so much time to spend without any certainty that I will succeed...

My current theory is that rSAP functionality was broken with the new dual core CPUs, so the latest high end HTC phone with rSAP support may be the Desire HD.

Hi, just another 2 questions:

Could you tell me the costs/price what you would expect for this job/solution?

As I have read, DHD is neighter sure working with rSap. My question is: Is there a Brand/type which works
100% sure with rSap ?

Thx 4 help !

First the second question: Samsung does a good job supporting rSAP out of the box with their Galaxy S i9000 and S II i9100. My app runs on those Samsungs when you flash CyanogenMod or any other AOSP based ROM. My app also runs on the Nexus S. As far as I'm informed the Desire HD should also work quite well.

Always expect phonebook problems. If you look at the compatibility lists of the car makers this is also often an issue with Nokia, Blackberry, ...

Now to the first question: I frankly don't know how much time/money it will cost and I don't even know if it will work at all. Worst case you will have to reengineer the whole baseband software and the whole RIL lib. Thats several megabytes of binary code. So expect thousands, not hundreds... The only viable option may be to get support from HTC. I did not yet ask them.
