list of phones with native rSAP support

Post by bluemotion » Thu Mar 28, 2013 5:21 am

hello i'm looking to upgrade my old nokia phone which works great with my vw passat car kit ( think it's called a premium rns 310) i was hoping to get a sony xperia t or samsung galaxy s2 but if these phones are not compatible or become uncompatible due to software updates i think i would prefer to get a phone with native rsap support was hopeful you would have a list of these, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

If you want a modern smartphone there is only Samsung. Blackberry used to have rSAP, but I don't know about the new phones.

See the full list in (German) Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM-Access-Profile

thanks for the prompt reply and information link, just don't understand why all phones are not rsap ready as in my experience the call quality and other functions are top quality.

Bear in mind, my replies are skewed by my very fussy Audi MMI...

Blackberry 9360 and 9900 Bold are flakey, but do seem to think they should work - probably just the picky Audi software.
All Symbian (old) Nokias work like a dream (e.g. X3-02), hours on end of stable, 3G maps, traffic updates, wifi hotpsot, etc...
No rSAP for win7/win8 Nokias though - doesn't even detect a carphone, handsfree only.
Apple-anything, forget it. Handsfree only (does anybody care anymore?).
Nexus 4, no. No, has to be rooted, then it should, but mine doesn't work reliably even with rSAP software, CM10.1, etc.
HTC OneX+, no. Rooted with Revolution HD (Android 4.1.1) and utterly useless, might as well have an iPhone... joke, it'd never be THAT bad!
The biggest surprise of the lot: the Samsung Galaxy S3.... straight on, no apps, no screwing about, Enterprise locked down, not even rooted: worked perfectly!

Goads me to say it, 'cos I love my HTC's for their hardware (and most of their software).... but this is the final straw for me... Samsung next time, hard, tacky plastic and all... :(

eBay soon: SGS5 Prime (SM-906K), SGS4 (GTi9505), SGS4 Active (GT-i9525).

Hallo,

es gibt ein neues Smartphone aus dem Hause Xtreamer :

http://www.xtreamermobile.com/joyz/index.html
