A6 4G MMI w/ desire crashes at 2nd connection

Post by mcmeier » Sun Jul 13, 2014 10:55 am

Hi Martin

I have a similar problem with my Audi MMI (2012) and Samsung S4 mini using the out of the box rsap.

Most of the times the rsap connection works fine but sometimes it does not connect. If it does not connect a bluetooth on/off cycle on the Samsung helps.

My questions:

1) Can your rsap app be installed on the Samsung S4 mini GT-I9195 with out of the box rsap?

2) Would your rsap app be more reliable compared to the out of the box rsap?

Thanks.

Michael

My app does run on Samsung phones with native rSAP support. It disables the built-in rSAP while installing the system files.

I don't think it will run better. Your problem sounds like something in the Bluetooth stack isn't working properly, maybe some resources are not properly freed after each connection. Since my app uses the same Bluetooth stack, the same may happen. Maybe it helps if you regularly switch Bluetooth off/on, maybe automatically with some app like Tasker.
