Test for HTC phones

Post by admin » Wed Oct 17, 2012 5:10 pm

Please use this installer app to install the system files:
rSAPInstall-2.2.2a.apk
Installer 2.2.2a test version for HTC One S
(486.75KiB)Downloaded 1142 times
Choose the "generic" system files for Sensation and One S C2, for One X the special version. The correct option should be pre-selected. If not, let me know. The One S (ville) should install automatically. Can anyone please test the One XL?

If you already updated your One S or XL to Jelly Bean (4.1.x) you'll run into the latest HTC trick to keep us from modifying our phones software. Read viewtopic.php?f=46&t=666 how to install system files on these phones.

You can test with the latest trial version available in Google Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... etoothRSAP

Important:

When connecting to the latest VW Premium phone you may have to switch the phone mode in the car to "GSM", otherwise the connection will not be possible or abort after a few seconds! This setting is not available/necessary for older VW Premiums.

This may be a bug in the VW Premium firmware. It should not affect phone operation, but maybe the modem connection via DUN is slower.

Confirmed compatibility

HTC Sensation
HTC One S "villec2" S3 CPU
HTC One S "ville" S4 CPU
HTC One X

The logs look good, only the car does not use rSAP, but immediately starts a Handsfree connection :(

I don't know the Audi system. Perhaps you can switch to rSAP somewhere in the phone settings after connecting via Handsfree?

Good point.
I've checked the MMI manual, and I didn't find anything.
To be sure, I sent a mail to my garage. hopefully they will be able to answer my questions.
I'll see in the meantime if I can get hold of a phone that supports rSAP out of the box, and test that way.

thanks for your time!
Will.

Glad to hear the first positive reply!

Yes, trial stops after 10 minutes (or was it 15?). I'll publish the compatible full version later in Google Store.
