Have you thought about the new Nexus 4?

I know you don't plan to support more brands but hear me out......

First off Great app I have a Skoda and and a GNEX and without this I would have had to replace one or the other so you really saved me a lot of time and money.

I can quite understand your decision to only support HTC and Samsung. I assume you are in this to make money so even if there were no technical reasons why you could not make this work for other brands HTC and Samsung make up the lions share of high end Androids so it makes sense to concentrate on them.

But here is the thing. Google/LG just launched the Nexus4 undercutting everything on the market. They did the same with the Nexus7 and they are selling 1 million a month of those and that's a Tablet. A lot more people have phones than tablets. This is going to be one of the best selling Androids ever overnight and as a Nexus there will be a simple root solution within days of launch.

So if do have any time/ambition to extend your scope and it is technically possible then I think this would be the one to do.

It is only for technical reasons that I support only Samsung and HTC. Recently I found a more generic way to implement the SIM access. It already works a bit on the HTC Sensation and the One S C2, it may work on a lot more phones, including LG. It's only difficult to make it work without buying the device and for most devices I think I will not be able to get a return for the investment :?

But the Nexus 4 has such an attractive price that I'll certainly buy one and do my best to make rSAP work on it. Even though it does not have an OLED display ;)

Excellent! I look forward to it.
Oh and if you do crack it, release it as a separate app and put the price up!
Dev's gotta eat too right?

Hi Admin,

What's the status with this? Could you get hold of an LG N4?

Thanks for updating the community

I'm planning to buy the new LG Nexus 4 (when it will be stock )

I'm currently using galaxy nexus with this must-have rsap app, JB 4.2.1 working perfect with vw bt premium. But the fact that I'm not going to been able to use rsap with that phone is making me stopping about the bought.

Development of the rsap app for LG Nexus 4 would be great. I don't mind paying for it again if it's needed, research and coding time worth the money.

So please, when you have any news (and the phone :P ) about the development posibilities over LG N4, just let us know!!

Thank you for your time and the app!!

Regards.

Short update: it doesn't look good - availability as well as rSAP compatibility. Took a look at the RIL lib and could not find a clue about how to implement the rSAP functions. Prepare to be disappointed...
