Android rSAP issues with last CM11 nightlies.

Post by uncletom2000 » Sat May 17, 2014 10:27 pm

Hello

I am using Cyanogenmod M6 C11 android 4.4.2 with an Samsung Galaxy S2.
I am trying to connect to a Mercedes Benz bluetooth cradle v3.

I installed rsap app installer with root rights and rebooted.
I installed rsap app trial and activated bluetooth. I renamed the file /bin/sdptool to /bin/sdptoo-rename
I also tried to reject the root right question when starting the rsap app.

When starting the connection by pressing the cradle button I finally get a bluetooth pairing question and can then type in the pin presented by the cradle. The mobile bluetooth then presents an active pairing with mercedes benz.
The rsap app does not change and shows no connection.
It does not appear the question to give free the sim card acess !? No bluetooth files were exchanged.

After a time the cradle times out and the mercedes ask to activate the phone. No connection.
The mobile shown active bluetooth connection but obviously no rsap is working.

What can I do to find a solution ? I hope you can help me. Tom

sdptool is still there? I always thought those guys know what they are doing...

Back to your problem: the rSAP app doesn't show the SAP module at least for some seconds as connected? Does my app show an error message? Can you please mail me (admin at ...) a HCI log, either with my logger app or from within the Android developer settings.

Hi

I now installed hci logger and updated rsap trial.
There is a new menue in the settings of the rsap trial app now: sim test:
- Select EF.ICC(USIM) shows yellow triangle
- Select EF.ECC(GSIM) shows red crossing
- all other features are supported

I tested again the pairing procedure with the cradle.
The result is the same - no connection at all with rsap.
The hci log file is uploaded as attachment.
I look forward to your professional helping hints .
Tom

I checked your logs: the SAP module queries for information about rSAP, but does not connect. I don't know why it doesn't at least try to connect. Maybe you can do a factory reset on the SAP module?

Please check the SAP manual. I'm not sure if it is possible, but if it is, it's worth a try.

Yes, the removable cradle. I read in one manual that a reset is done by pressing the button for more than 7 seconds.
But I must confess that I never saw a Mercedes SAP cradle in real life

Hi - finally back again

I updated firmware of the SII Cyanogen Mod11 M7.
I reinstalled the rsap install with root rights
I reinstalled the rsap trial .

I resetted the cradle with pressing 7 seconds.
I removed all former bluetooth bonding in the bluetooth settings of cyanogen.

- I tried again the sim access test of the rsap trial app. It shows the same two items as not functioning (see first message).
- I started connection procedure with the MB bluetooth cradle again, but the result is the same. Finally a bluetooth bonding is shown in the bluetooth menue of the cyanogen. But the rsap trial shows no respond at all. Finally the MB times out without connection.
- I have sended you a new hci log.
I hope that we will manage to bring that connection back to life ?!
Thanks for your help !
