Can't Install Files in new Omni Rom Slimkat 4.4.2

Post by OnSerious » Wed Jan 08, 2014 9:43 am

Hello,

i'm using rSap now with the Slimkat 4.4.2 Weekly Roms. With the Build of last week everything was working fine.

After this weekly Build released yesterday the Installation of the Files fails.
In the Changelog i've seen something about new File Directions or Toolchain paths in the new Omni Roms. I'm using Yank Kernel and on his site there is a beta Kernel which is using both paths because some Omni Roms stay with the old paths and some will use the new ones.

Here is the Link to the Changelog of Slimkat 4.4.2 http://www.slimroms.net/jdownloads/slim ... NGELOG.txt

I always got good Support from this site so you can maybe fix this Issue

*possibly fix:
After i used Root Explorer in the Directory /system/lib/hw and pressed the Button Mount RW files installed with the RSAP Installation App, and after a restart connection with my car was successfull.

The Directory included before only bluetooth.default.so now it has both Files with bluetooth.exynos4.so.

After a reboot the same Error in rSap Installation App comes again but normal rSap App gives no Error, because the Files are installed. Maybe you only have to change the installscript a little to get it working again. On Slimroms Site there are more weeklys for different phones to test it.

I can't even flash this ROM... I tried with ClockworkMod and TWRP and didn't succeed. Please try the next version and let me know if the problem is still there.

I used newest CWM Philz Touch from XDA for my i9300: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002953 to flash Slim-i9300-4.4.2.beta.2.1-WEEKLY-2237 from slimroms.net

I will report on next Monday, when the new weekly is released if it happens again.

Maybe i am the only one using a new Omni rom and also i know now the posted workaround.

I don't know what happens in the future with the omni roms if they get generally know like Cyanogenmod or if they will stay with only 3 Custom Roms the original Omni Rom, Slimkat and Temasek V22 or newer so there is no hurry

I finally managed to install the ROM and cannot reproduce your problems. Can you please create a log with CatLog the next time you try to install the rSAP system files?

Hi all, this is my first post.
I use a GT-I9300 with the latest Slimkat weekly build (4.6) with the standard Opel / Vauxhall Astra J carkit.
I just followed the installation instruction for the test app and it seems working fine. Actually I've just bought the full version.
Thank you for your work!
