Using HTCdev Unlock Bootloader

Post by oldsoftie » Mon Sep 10, 2012 12:31 am

I have used the new HTC Unlock Bootloader process to root my Desire S. It was successful and the phone is S-OFF.

But when I try to run the Bluetooth SIM Access Install app, I get a warning that I need to install the hcidump tool. Then when I select Install hcidump, I get an rSAP Installation warning "Installation failed. mount failed null".

Has anyone tried using the HTC process to root their phone? Could you get the rSAP install to work?

Any suggestions?

Unlocking the bootloader is only the first step. Now you should install (or boot) a custom recovery software (usually ClockworkMod) for your phone and then install the Superuser.zip or SuperSU.zip using the recovery software.
