ICS XWLP7 - no rSAP w Trial version

Post by reen » Sun Apr 29, 2012 8:38 pm

Hello,

I managed to root my SGS2 (Stock ROM ICS 4.0.3 XWLP7), installed the installer and trial version.
The mobile pairs with my VW premium set like before I installed the components.
That means the phonebook is fully synced and I can use the phone via bluetooth.
What is not working is rSAP so that the phone is turned off and the cars antenna is used.
off
I noticed that the trial version is 1.2 and the full version is 2.x.

Thanks,
Reen

There is no technical difference between trial version 1.2 and the 2.0 full version. Did you already try to remove all pairing information from phone and car and create a fresh pairing? Or perhaps it helps to manually force the "Premium" mode in the phone settings.

I removed all pairing info in the car and on the phone.
The bluetooth state stays "not connected" and the SIM state "normal phone operation" even if the phone is actively paired.
In the VW UHV I didn't find any value for activating rSAP.
It is the RNS 315, if that helps.

I have the option in the phone settings in the instrument cluster in my Golf. When you see the phone state (receiption, provider, ...) press the OK button on the steering wheel to get the menu.

It seems that the RNS315 is only supporting hands free profiles, but no rSAP.
I learned from the documentation that the phone is connected to the car's antenna via an induction wire in the cradle.
Now, I ordered the ActiveCradle UNI for System 9 from THB Bury that will support the antenna connect.
Sorry to bother you, I was not aware of that before.

Cheers,

It's not a question of which "RNS" or "RCD" you have, only the phone module must be "Premium".

I had a look into the car order item list.
And as you say it is "Mobiltelefonvorbereitung Plus" and not "Premium" independent from the RNS.
I assumed that it was Premium, because it synced the phonebook, I could start phone call from the RNS and the car always says "Phone starting" after inserting the key.
Now I wait for the cradle and will have to see if the induction concept really works for using the car's antenna.

Thanks for your support.
