I have a Gallaxy S2 with ICS, model number is GT-I9100p, the baseband version is i9100PXXLPC the build number is IML74K.XXLPH. The rsap instal.zip installs perfectly but when i try to instal the trial version of bluetooth simaccess instalation i get a message telling me the phone must be rooted to install this app. Any help would be very much appreciated, Thanks.

Did you use version 2.1 of the trial app? This error should no longer exist in this version.

yes on checking on Google Play, it is the 2.1 version which i have downloaded and installed. The phone is the NFC version of the S2 if that makes any difference

I read your post again and I hope I found the problem: if you use the zip file installation you need not additionally run the installer app. Simply download the rSAP app - trial or full version.

I un-installed and re-installed both the rSapinstall.zip and the bluetooth sim access. i am still unable to connect the phone to the rsap in my Skoda. :-(

@blackray: do you still get the "root" error? Does the rSAP app show any other error message? Did you remove all pairing information from car and phone? Does the car find the phone?

Are you sure you have the "Premium" phone? Do you get a 16-digit Bluetooth PIN when pairing the phone?
