Is Bluetooth Phonebook working?

Hi,
I've just installed Bluetooth Phonebook on my Samsung Galaxy S2 in order to sort out the synchronisation with my car (a Volvo).
The app appears to install ok. I can go into options and change things (e.g. to Swap First Name, Sync Contact Group). I then pair the phone and the car but when I look at the car's phone book after synchronisation nothing seems to have changed.

I've tried unpairing and re-pairing, varying the options, but nothings seems to make any difference.

Is there something else I should be doing to get the app to work correctly?

Should I look at the log to diagnose things?

Any help would be appreciated.

Normally the app is a "no-brainer". Simply install. The only problem is that it does not work on every phone (it does on the S II) and it does not help with every car.

Do you see a "last connected" state somewhere in the app?

I've got Bluetooth Phonebook V1.1.1

I can't see 'last connected state' anywhere.

If I pair with my wife's Volvo I get all the phonebook entries (i.e. none have been excluded and the sequence doesn't change).

If I pair with my BMW it says 'audio connected', but no phonebook entries have been downloaded.

My Samsung Galaxy S2 is Android version 4.1.2.

Would it help if I had a look at the log?

If you don't see a "last connected" in my app then your car does not ask the phone for contacts using PBAP (BMW surely does not support IrMC). I remember someone had a similar problem with a BMW, and he resetted the car's phone settings and after a fresh pairing the contacts showed up.
