PBAP and 4.2

Post by BuzzMania » Thu Nov 22, 2012 11:40 am

Hi Admin!

The PBAP installation doesn't work under 4.2 for me. Does an updated file already exist?

I will test today the man. methode. After reading here all about the problems with rsap running under 4.2 i am happy that it works. I hope we can also resolve the PB-Problem.

Now i tested the manual copy of Bluetooth.apk
I tested all 3 Bloetooth.apk under 4.2:

Bluetooth.apk for CyanogenMod 7.0 and 7.1 and AOSP based ROMs with version 2.3.x(386.54 KiB)
Bluetooth.apk for Android 4.0(407.88 KiB)
Bluetooth.apk for Android 4.1(438.72 KiB)

-cwm backup
-save the original Bluetooth.apk and Bluetoth.odex to sd
-with root and solid explorer i copied the bluetooth.apk to the /system/app
(first change the file permission so that you can overwrite the existing bluetooth.apk), then change file permission
again to rw/r/r 644
-reboot

Bluetooth.apk definitly does not work under 4.2 (manual copy ore PBAP.apk) !!!
So in the mean time i use the r-sap in my car without Phonebook

I don't have much time for PBAP currently. It will take one or two weeks until I can check what happened.

Have 4.2.1 installed and rsap with VW Premium works if I use stock Bluetooth.apk. Phonebook transfers seems to work - can't see any issues so far.

Bluetooth also doesn't turn on if I use the PBAB fix Bluetooth.apk.

Has anybody experienced any problems (like missing items) syncing phonebook while using stock Bluetooth.apk?

Yes I have. By using the stock BT.apk only a few oft my contacts are synched, like it always was by using it.
