Now updatet to Android 4.1.2 via OTA and reinstall rsap:
(reinstallation because of socket error)

with the original bluetooth.apk rsap works, but no phonebooktransfer at all.
(yes, after paring i gave permission to read phonebook!!!)

with the bluetooth.apk from android-rsap.com (designed for 4.1) the bluetooth dont work at all

Bluetooth also doesn't turn on if I use the PBAB fix Bluetooth.apk.

Has anybody experienced any problems (like missing items) syncing phonebook while using stock Bluetooth.apk?
Hi spi483,
why do you want to use modified bluetooth.apk, if the phonebook-tranfer works with the original one?
I use the mercedes NTG2 and there is no phonebook-tranfer at all with the original bluetooth.apk (like with android 4.1). So i have to wait the modified bluetooth.apk for android 4.2.(1).

Which car kit do you connect with?
It should be VW RNS310 premium

Hey Frankman,

on the link you posted it is said, that it doesn't work for Nexus Phones with 4.2:
"Nexus phones, CyanogenMod and other AOSP based Custom ROMs
AOSP based ROMs are compatible. CyanogenMod 9/10 already contain the fixes, Android 4.2 based versions don't."

Im still waiting for a pbap Solution for 4.2. And I'm still thinking about flashing 4.1.2 back to my GN to get everything working like before.

Happy x-mas! :D

I read the sentence again and must confess that it is easy to misunderstand... The app works with 4.2, I checked it with my Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus.

Currently the phonebook app has a problem: it seems that the PBAP service somehow gets deactivated when it is not used for a longer time. It helps to simply start the app. I hope I can fix this soon.

Hi Buzz,

I'm using admins new PBAP.app with my SGS2-GT-I9100 (intl) on the latest CM10 (now 4.2.1) and it works fine (also with the rSAP.app).

There is/was a bug by autostart the app as a service. It stopped sometimes. But the admin tried to fix it.

I think, it's a universal app. Not only for some phones.

In the meantime I fixed the bug with the disappearing service.

The PBAP part of the app sadly does not work on all Android phones. It only runs on those that use a Bluetooth.apk similar to the Android Open Source implementation (i.e. Nexus phones). This includes all (?) Samsung and most HTC phones running Android 4.x and should include all phones running CyanogenMod 7 and later.

The IrMC/SYNC part works on all Android phones.
