Bluetooth Phonebook not working on Nexus 4

Post by wmoore » Sat Mar 09, 2013 6:25 am

I have my Nexus 4 connected to my car (2012 Holden Cruze - same as the Chevy Cruze in the US and similar to the Opel Astra in Europe). The phone pairs OK but it doesn't show contacts. I downloaded Bluetooth Phonebook from the Play Store as it looked like it should fix that problem bit it didn't. I have cleared data and rebooted, re-paired, factory defaulted the car's B/T but still don't see any contacts. The car tells me either 'no phonebooks available' or 'the phonebook is empty'.

What else can I try?

Do you see a "last connected" below PBAP or IrMC in the phonebook app's screen?

Sometimes the phonebook is transferred using the "Handsfree" profile. This seems to have problems with Android 4.2.
