bluetooth phonebook v1.0.4 with xperia z 4.1.2 and bmw e87

Post by gmiranda » Sun Mar 10, 2013 1:04 pm

Dear all,

My contacts doesn't appear when I connect my phone to my car BMW 2009 e87.
It is very strange because it worked fine one week by pbap protocol, call lists + phone contacts but now only call list works !
Moreover i see the pbap connexion is ok, i see 'last connected to'.
My phone is xperia z android 4.1.2.
Thank you for your help.

Is your phone rooted? If yes, please create a HCI log with my logger app and mail it to me.

Thank you.

Probably one of the removed contacts caused the problem. I don't think it was the count.

Sadly it's not possible to log Bluetooth without root.

I'm rooted and on my pairing xperia Z with my Peugeot 5008 btooth everything works fine except the phonebook only sends 15 contacts to the car out of 150? all my contacts are local. Is there anything I can do? Where is your logger app?

The HCI logger app is available in Google Play Store. Be sure to start logging before the Bluetooth connection starts and end logging before sending the file. The HCI log shows which profiles are used for phonebook transfer. If it is "Handsfree" you are out of luck.

If it is PBAP my phonebook app (also from Google Play Store) may help you, but ther is no guarantee.

What file?
I started hci log/start Bluetooth on my xperia Z/ deleted pair with car/ deleted pairing from car menu/ paired again phone with car. I can't find hci log or rsap folder on my phone. Perhaps give me a step by step or point me to a tutorial?

Log files are stored on SD card/USB storage in folder ".rsap".

1. You mention stop logger before sending the file. Question is what file?
2. I did look for.rsap folder but can't find it on my internal storage or external sd card. How\ why can't I find it?
3.Is there a step by step guide?
4. Could you give me a more detailed guide?
