The folder is sometimes hidden by file managers. Use a proper file manager or simply connect the phone to the PC via USB.

It's not so difficult: check "Create Log", do Bluetooth actions you want to log, uncheck "Create log". Finally locate the latest file in ".rsap" folder.

I guess the easiest solution is to simply buy my phonebook app and try - hey, it's only 1,49€ :D

I did buy it and it worked, hurrah.
There are some numbers that came through to the car that have no name, just phone numbers. any idea how to deal with those/ delete maybe?

They must exist somewhere inside the Android contacts app, you can delete or edit them there. Perhaps they sit in an invisible group or something.
