The rSAP server cannot start because of this exception in your "main" log:

Code: Select all

java.io.IOException: read failed, socket might closed or timeout, read ret: -1
	at android.bluetooth.BluetoothSocket.readAll(BluetoothSocket.java:504)
	at android.bluetooth.BluetoothSocket.waitSocketSignal(BluetoothSocket.java:481)
	at android.bluetooth.BluetoothSocket.accept(BluetoothSocket.java:394)
	at android.bluetooth.BluetoothServerSocket.accept(BluetoothServerSocket.java:131)
	at android.bluetooth.BluetoothServerSocket.accept(BluetoothServerSocket.java:117)
	at com.android_rsap.rsap.uc.run(uc.java)
There must be something wrong with your Bluetooth stack. Are you sure you only ran the "install/update system files" and NOT the "install lib" below?

On this new fresh Android i'm 100% sure!
Could there be leftovers from the previous android? I used the flash-all.bat included in the google factory image archive to do the fresh install.

I tried with the 4.2 bluetooth.default.so and it still works, although I don't know if anything else may be broken. So you can try with the lib, maybe it helps?

Maybe you simply forgot that you have to root your phone after the ystem update? You need the latest version of SuperSU for Android 4.3 (> 1.50?).

I tried it with the lib installed but as before the car doesn't recognizes the rSAP profile :(
Maybe the logs now show something which indicates whats wrong?!

Okay i finally got it working!

I did another clean android 4.3 install on my galaxy nexus.
installed rsap app and files - rebooted
installed rsap alternative lib - rebooted (VERY IMPORTANT TO REBOOT)

and it worked!

after a bit of testing i have to say that i can not switch back to the originial lib because it will result in an
unstable connection where the car looses the connection to the phone.

D'oh! It looks like the new VW Premium needs the "full" SDP record for pairing, like the Audis, Mercedes and Porsches (see http://www.android-rsap.com/compatibility.html). This is a major step backwards!

It's a big PITA to create an SDP record for these car phones because Google doesn't offer an "official" API for that. So it's always a hack which needs root access. And it looks like root access will be restricted more and more in future Android versions.

It seems the best rSAP car phone ever is the old VW Premium. Get one as long as they are available in a VW Passat, Skoda, ...

I sadly found a new problem

if i leave the car and don't switch off bluetooth and on again, the car won't establish a rSAP connection with the phone the next time i get into the car. Even explicitly choosing the rsap-profile of the phone from the onboard menu won't establish a connection.

Is this allready known or a "new" problem?!

Please try the updated installer app (V2.3.1). It contains an updated lib for Android 4.3. I hope it helps.
