Hello admin,

"If you want to get rid of the Samsung rSAP it is enough to rename the plugin file /system/lib/bluez-plugin/sap.so with Root Explorer or similar tool. This should not have any other unwanted side effects. I will add that option to the next installer version."

Sounds very good, but what does it mean??? Will your great rsap-app work again after this change? Including your very much needed pbap implementation?

Or does it only mean that the Samsung rsap will not work any longer and not more???

Or is this something I just should test myself?

Thanks in advance,
Uwe

Hello admin,

SUCCESS!!!!!!

Thanks for your great work again!

I just gave your findings (/system/lib/bluez-plugin/sap.so) a try and did the following:
Code: Select all
mount -o remount,rw /system

mv /system/lib/bluez-plugin/sap.so /system/lib/bluez-plugin/sap.so.orig

mv /system/app/Bluetooth.apk /system/app/Bluetooth.apk.orig
mv /system/app/Bluetooth.apk.rsap /system/app/Bluetooth.apk
mv /system/app/Bluetooth.odex /system/app/Bluetooth.odex.orig

After that I installed the rsap files again with the installer app and enabled your rsap implementation.

... and it works great again with my RNS510 :-)

Thanks! Wonderful! Fantastic!

Uwe

Fantastic work! Now my Galaxy Note with Android 4.0.4 is back in car with RSAP and the entire phonebook. My RNS 510 with UHV Premium (UMTS) loves it again. :D

Keep on working.
