Phone not recognised: HTC Desire ICS Rom

My desire has an Android 4 rom on it (rooted) using evervolve.
My vw bluetooth does not recognise the phone.
Currently using trial version to test compatibility before getting full version, but the device is not recognised by my car.

Could it be due to the rom?
Thanks
Jason

Maybe. I also tested a CM9 based ROM on my Desire and that worked. I'll check which one I used. Is your ROM based on HTC/Sense?

The strange thing is that usually every phone running the rSAP app should be recognized as compatible. Can you pair the phone? If yes, please mail me a "main" log of a connection attempt.

Hi,
The rom I am currently using does not use HTC Sense, but is based on ICS from here:

My car cannot even see the phone to initiate pairing.
I have tested teh car with a samsung galaxy and that worked, just to rule out any issues on the car side.
Thanks

Hi,
Any idea on this?
I might try a different rom to make sure but don't want to have to wipe my phone...

Sorry it took so long...

I tested this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1403113. It is based on CyanogenMod 9.

I don't know if it works without wiping data. I'd use Titanium Backup and Call Log and SMS Backup & Restore apps. Most of the data should be automatically restored, like contacts and apps.

Hi,
Thanks for trying that out.
I installed that rom and my phone is still not recognised. Does not even show up to allow pairing.

Could it be because I am using the trial version rsap?
I will try and get hold of a known compatible phone again to rule out any issues with the car kit itself.

Thanks
