Elephone P9000 CM13 MTK6755

Post by carsseli » Tue Sep 27, 2016 10:37 am

Since about 1 week I've installed CM 13, hoping that rsap Android would work better with this rom as the stock version. After installing SuperSU the connection with the car indeed is better than on stock. Using the implemented root function of CM13 has caused problems.

Problem left is, when disconnecting from the car the phone permanently does not reconnect to the mobile network.

Even when activating and deactivating airplane mode the phone does not reconnect. So the reconnect plugin was no help in this case, too. Only restart can activate mobile network again.

Any idea what may cause this or what to do?

Did you already try the "RIL restart" option of the reconnect plugin? This is a bit more "agressive" than switching airplane mode on/off.

Thanks for your hint, I tried this in a few attempts - but unfortunately no success. :(

But I've ascertained that after disconnecting from the car, the mobile network connection is not established again, mobile network symbol in the task bar shows a "X" - BUT connecting to the car again, without a restart of the phone, works! Normal function in rsap mode. After disconnecting from the car again there is still the same issue - no reconnect to mobile network.

I've also ascertained that when the phone is in disconnected mode without mobile network after disconnection from the car, and I start the rsap android installation app, reconnection to mobile network works without any problems - AFTER the app runs the socket test at the bottom of the screen (all checkmarks green).

Do you have an idea why this doesn't work when disconnecting from the car? May there are any problems with the handover of the sim data back to the phone?

Strange. The restart option of the plugin does exactly the same as the installer app after installing the system files. Maybe it's a timing issue.

The basic problem may be that MediaTek changed something in the rSAP interface, or that I did not correctly understand the interface so far (by re-engineering). Maybe both. I will need a device to fix that and it may take a while.

Same behavior seldons happen on my Elefone M2 running on Android 5.11 rooted, if this happens only a restart of the phone will bring back mobile connection.
I´m using VW premium FSE in a 2008 Gold station wagon with the rns 510 an newest firmware on it.

I had those probs also with my former Neo N003 from time to time who was running on Android 4,22

I did not yet verify with my Elephone P9000, but it looks like rSAP works only with SIM 1. Maybe the E2 has the same problem?

BTW: the Elephone P9000 supports rSAP without my app - with SIM 1!
