Ehm.. maybe. It's no guarantee. Sometimes also the SIM card causes problems. As I said: Audi car phones are very sensitive... But I didn't hear anything about the new A3 system. Perhaps it is not so picky!

That's why I said "maximise" ! I've been lurking for some days now, reading most threads, and I know that I could end up having to take a second SIM card because of that :(

Hey there! I tried to activate the DUN plugin but I cannot pair any modem from nexus 4... anyway I wonder why does one need the modem option for rns 510? does it connects to see traffic or something?

As far as I know the DUN plugin is just a "goodie" without any specific use for the rest of the car.

My plugin will no longer work with Android 4.2, because it relies on all the Linux tools based on the BlueZ library. This is no longer used now. A good replacement is the BlueVPN app.

can anybody tell me whether rsap on Nexus 4 works with the Audi a8 MY 10?

I currently use GS 2 with CM 10.1 and rsap. works only when modified Bluetooth lib installed.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Nik

I can confirm that it works on Nexus 4 CM 10.1 (4.2.2) on Audi S3 8P with RSAP cradle in armrest.

I can confirm it initially does not work in my VW Golf 2008 premium car kit. After swapping the sim card it started working. I have a cut sim card from NL Telfort which I could try to swap for an original micro sim card. I'll report back.
Its weird because the same "Cut" sim card works in my S3 and std RSAP implementation.

You mean the Bluetooth.default.so? That's a general issue with Audi (Mercedes, Porsche) and Android 4.2.

I have no explanation for this, but it seems the Nexus 4 is quite picky with SIM cards. I know this from the old HTC phones. There were some SIM cards that didn't work in any HTC phone, but did well in any Samsung phone. Perhaps there is a similar problem with the Nexus 4?

I have received a new micro sim from my provider, but the result is that same.
This means for me:

Vodafone NL SIM = OK
Telfort NL SIM - NG

If it helps by sending one the Telfort SIM's, please let me know.

You mean you want to mail me your (inactive!) SIM card? Please do so, so I can check a workaround that I have in mind. If the card is still valid, I promise I'll do my best not to cause any costs and mail it back as soon as possible! You can find my address when you click on "about" in the upper right.
