I got the success story today with my Xperia SP.
Equipment details are:
C5303 Xperia SP - 12.1.A.201 4.3 Stock ROM
VW premium BT 3C8035730D
RSAP Trial and installer from Play store.
1st test I did not get any RSAP function.
Several test after that I get new hope.
Trial-app sim icon was coming present and it started some RSAP negotiation.
But Car never asked PIN for the SIM and just after couple of second BT was always fallbacked to HFP mode.
Today I try to test this again.
Currently "Settings" -> "Xperia" -> "Throw-settings" -> "Choose automatic..." is disabled.
I made reinstall with RSAP-installer app (uninstall, reboot, install, reboot).
Activate "Wake Lock" option from Trial-app and I was very happy when suddenly Car was asking PIN with working RSAP-session. RSAP-session was working correctly until the Trial timeout happens.
I was able to switch between HFP and RSAP modes from car menu and everything seems to work correctly.
I think that you just got one more happy app customer.

Now I'm confused 
I thought my app does not work on the SP. Can you please mail me (admin at ...) a "main" log as a "proof"?

Many thanks for the Logs. Yes, it looks good, strange that it didn't work for other users
