RSAP with Audi A7 MMI 3G+ firmware K0700

Post by GaPhi » Sat Oct 17, 2015 10:39 am

Hello,

I was using an old (P0532) firmware and my xperia z3 with latest rsap version. It was working 80% of the time (other 20% I had to switch car phone and the xperia off and on again to get the system work).
I then updated my Audi MMI to version HN_R+_EU_AU_K0700 last night successfully.
Everything is OK (Bluetooth other profiles too) but rsap that cannot keep a working connection (there are 3 tentatives before an error message on the car is displayed). https://youtu.be/vEiK40ZlJRQ

Would you like me to provide you some debug log file to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Please mail me a HCI log (see http://www.android-rsap.com/41-support/ ... i-log.html)

I guess your update wasn't very successful if things don't work now...

The car update was 100% successful.

It seems more that the new software is less tolerant to unknown errors, previously ignored and now it disconnects...

My analysis is that the bug is in rsap or the native library.

This is a really basic problem, the phone doesn't allow access to the SIM card at all. This wouldn't work with any rSAP client, so it's not caused by the MMI update.

Did you change anything with the phone? Do you use the "new" system files from the latest Play Store installer app? Did you try a simple reboot of the phone?

I just updated the car MMI.
Before, the rsap was working 80% of the time.
I have rebooted the phone without more success.
I do not have reinstalled rsap yet, I can try this...

The current rsap is up-to-date with the latest 'rsap installation' used.
Rsap has permanent root access too.

If the phone rejects Sim access, why was it working before?

I do the following sequence
- uninstall RSAP
- uninstall RSAP installation
- remove RSAP automatic permissions in SuperSU
- install RSAP installation from Play Store
- install RSAP from Play Store
- launch RSAP installation, install generic and reboot
- launch RSAP
- test SIM access : all green
- activate HCI log
- start phone screen movie
- switch car on
- car connects to the phone and RSAP shows connection as established
- the phone still shows the signal bars while RSAP is connected...?!
- after minutes, the car indicates the SIM is not working
- I try to reconnect manually from the car : same behavior that stated in the previous posts.
- the car seems connected in Hands-free profile
- some other tries (switch Bluetooth off/on)... Still same behavior
- test SIM access from RSAP : Red!
- stop movie record...
- stop HCI log

The SIM access is not working for RSAP, but it was already the case before the car update.

I upload movie and log and give you the links in PM.

Hello again,

Did you get the files?
Did you found any abnormality?

I have done some new tests :
- with 'generic old', there is no successful Sim access.
- with 'generic', Sim access is successful till a RSAP connection is attempt. After that, only a reboot will permit any number of successful tests again.
- with the Sim card directly put in the car card slot, everything is find (without rsap).

The Sim access seems functional till rsap actually access the card. Maybe due to the car request...

Did you see something in the Bluetooth packets capture?

Thanks!

The phone rejects connection to the SIM card. The car retries several times patiently, but gets the same error every time. I have no idea why this may happen. I also have a Z3 and no problems with it.

Did you "tweak" something (like playing back backups) or really install everything from scratch from Play Store? Did you grant superuser access to installer and rSAP app? Which Z3 firmware do you use?

What exactly does the failed SIM check say?

If the state is different after a reboot, can you create one more HCI log directly after a reboot, without running the SIM check? Maybe the very first rSAP session after a reboot messes something up?

I do not use any restoration tool.

My Z3 is installed with a pre-rooted system created with PRFCreator v0.8 using :
  • 23.4.A.1.232 downloaded thanks to XperiFirm 4.5.2
  • SuperSU v2.46
  • Z3-lockeddualrecovery 2.8.14
After that, I installed with unknown sources :
  • xposed v73 with 2 modules
    • Disable Charging Led 1.0.2
    • YouTube AdAway 2.6.8
  • AdAway
After that, I installed all other applications from Google Play store, including
  • RSAP installation
  • RSAP
I agree that Z3 was working (not 100% of the time but enough to be usable) even if the SIM access test was KO.

I just updated the car software between the above working situation and the not-working one. Nothing else changed.

This evening I will create a new HCI log file(s) : what exact scenario(s) sequence do you want ?
  • unpairing/pairing phone/car ?
  • uninstall/reinstall of RSAP ?
  • double check the /system/vendor/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1*.so file existence ? Or copy of them ?
  • activate/deactivate RSAP, BT, other ?
  • activate/deactivate main RSAP debug log ?
  • phone reboot ?
  • change a library with a dedicated one you provide to log all your internal state changes in another file ?
  • anything else (is it possible to log all AT Hayes commands or SIM protocol ?)
