HTC One (M8)
Re: HTC One (M8)
Thank you. I forgot to mention that I disabled that setting, but it was automatically enabled once connecting to the carkit again. Does disabling work for you (permanently)?
Re: HTC One (M8)
Just disable the sim pin and you're good to go.
Re: HTC One (M8)
My app should already check if the native rSAP support is running and should disable it. If this doesn't work properly, you may delete or rename the file /bin/sapd with a root shell or root capable file manager. Be sure not to permanently remove the file, you must restore it before you can apply an OTA system update!MattMax wrote:Normally the Android RSAP will connect automatically to the carkit, but sometimes the native RSAP functionality will connect to the carkit first (highlighted with a "Remote Sim Access" icon in the status bar). I'd like to disable the native functionality and always use the Android RSAP app.
Re: HTC One (M8)
Does anyone know if the 4.4.4 update for the M8 broke the native bluetooth rsap support?
UPDATE: I updated and it works just like 4.4.3

Re: HTC One (M8)
The update is quite satisfying. Now you dont need to enter your pin after leaving the car anymore, it automatically logs in your phone.

Re: HTC One (M8)
Updated to 3.29.161.9 and rSAP is still there

Re: HTC One (M8)
Looks like it is here to stay

Re: HTC One (M8)
Has anyone with an unlocked HTC One (M8) tested the new Android 5.0 build (1.14.2015) to see if RSAP is still present?

I am finding my Nexus 5 unreliable with the old radio firmware under the newer versions of Android and am thinking of changing phone, but am looking for something that will work under 5.0

Re: HTC One (M8)
I've just updated to CM12 on my one M8 and rSAP has stopped working. It says "system library file not found". I've reinstalled it and the companion app and done so through recovery, but still no joy. any ideas?
