Handsfree Profile Only

Post by gtiller » Fri Jun 07, 2013 1:40 pm

Hi,

I have just got a new HTC one - really nice phone. (M7 4.1.2)

Rooted the phone - you're right, it was a pain!
Installed the rSAP Installation App V2.3
Installed the rSAP V2.3.1 app (the paid one)

no errors, and I have a tick next to rSAP active
SIM State is listed as normal phone operation

When I connect my 2012 Audi A6 to it, all I see is the handsfree profile currently.

I am not an Android expert yet, having moved from an iPhone just a couple of days ago!
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance, I am keen to get this running!

Did you redo the Bluetooth pairing between car and phone?

Yes, I deleted the pairing and connected as a new device, and only the handsfree profile shows up.

rSAP works fine in the car, as I can connect that way with an old Nokia.
Google maps and Audi connect work when I use the old Nokia or when i put the SIM in the car.

I hope we can get this working - rSAP is the whole reason I got rid of an iPhone and bought the HTC One!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Do you switch on/off Bluetooth before/after you enter the car?

I cannot see any reason why it doesn't work for you. Can you please redo Bluetooth pairing once more, and this time activate the "main" log in the rSAP app before starting the new pairing. Maybe it connects shortly, fails and never tries again

In the logs it looks like the rSAP system files are not installed properly. If you use a rooted stock ROM you will either have to install a kernel module fixing the system write protection or use the rsap-install.zip.

Deleted the Bluetooth pairing in car and on phone.
Then deleted the app and installer from the phone.
Copied rsap-install.zip over, and started the phone in recovery mode (I use Clockworkmod ROM Manager 5.5 premium)
Ran rsap-install.zip with no errors, and rebooted phone.
Still only see handsfree profile.
I have attached the latest log.

I don't know what happens on your phone. In the logs I only see that the service was stopped two times. Did you swith off/on rSAP in the app or switch off/on Bluetooth? Did you redo the Bluetooth pairing while recording the log?
