PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure I've heard it mentioned that there were some licence issues around manufacturers who sold hardware that had RSAP support.
Extrapolating from that, I always though that RSAP was intentionally disabled so the manufacturers didn't have to pay (Nokia?) a RSAP licence fee.
But I had assumed that Samsung had some sort of "bulk"/ legacy copyright deal that allowed them to put it in every phone they release at no additional cost other than the obvious testing / potential complications.
Seems a shame, as an infrequent driver, with a reasonably high spec Audi MMI system, I don't want to pay monthly line rental on an unused SIM - I'll hit it for several Gb of traffic report (and internet radio!) in one weekend, but then not use the car again for several weeks.
