Motorola Droid Razr M (XT907)

Post by paulb12 » Fri May 10, 2013 12:54 pm

I am in the US and have the Motorola Droid Razr M (XT907) trying to set that phone up with a Mazda CX9. So far I have not been able to get the phonebook to download to the car. I did not know that I should say "no" when the phone asks if the Mazda unit can access the phonebook (I later read I should say "no" and let the app do it). The bluetooth communicates with the car, but no phonebook. I have tried unpairing and then setting up the phone again but the head unit in the car always says "phone does not support download of phonebook" or something to that effect. Anything suggestions or anything you can do to help? Thanks for the support!

Paul

PS - it would help if the app itself had instructions on how you are supposed to use it.

First of all to avoid confusion: you don't need the rSAP app. Mazda doesn't support rSAP.

I also offer a phonebook app which already helped a lot of Mazda drivers, but I'm not sure if it works on your Motorola. Did you already try it?

I have the "Bluetooth Phonebook V1.1" - if that is not the right app do you have another suggestion?

Yes, this is the correct app. From the comments in Google Play Store I read that it seems to help with Mazda car kits. But I'm not sure if it runs on a Motorola phone. What does my app display below the PBAP option? "Last connected to..." or "Ready" or "Compatibility not yet verified"?

It says under PBAP "last connected to Mazda...." The IrMC is also enabled. Thanks for your help.
