Samsung S4 Mini DUOS I9192

Post by PauleHK » Sun Oct 13, 2013 12:35 pm

Hello,

with my S4 Mini DUOS I9192 I and the SAP hands-free connection in the Mercedes E200 (W211) I have the following problems:

(please see technical data at the end)

Problem 1- Chosing a SIM for SAP hands-free connection
I can activate the connection with the SAP (Bluetooth SIM-Access Protocol) to the hands-free equipment of the car only with SIM1.
I am not able to communicate in the car by SIM2.

Problem 2 – Establishing the SAP Connection
The connection with the SAP (Bluetooth SIM-Access Protocol) to the hands-free equipment is possible if “Mobile Dataconnection” in the S4mini is switched off.
(Settings –Data usage - Mobile Data )

Is “Mobile Data” switched on, the connection is only sometimes possible (70% )
Often the car-radio shows “Phone off”. Then I switch off “Mobile Data” at the S4Mini and then the connection can be established by button “On” at the car-radio.

When the SAP connection to the car is established, the own S4Mini DUOS network connection is completely off: SIM1, SIM2 and data connection.

Problem 3 – Reactivate the Phone after leaving the car
The problem occurs, when I leave the car:

The Phone shows “Remote SIM deactivated” and the “MB Telefone” at
Settings – Network connections – Bluetooth - Paired devices is not blue
but: the S4Mini DUOS connection is still completely off: SIM1, SIM2 and data connection.

If I try to telephone, the S4Mini shows:
SIM1: Not registered in the network
SIM2. Network not available

At the top of the screen the left SIM is shown with “Signal” on and the right with “No signal” although both SIM´s are off!

To reactivate the phone, I have to switch it off and on or I have to switch off/on SIM 2 and SIM 1 at
Settings- My device - SIM card manager

Approaching solutions (without success)

Problem 1- Chosing a SIM for SAP hands-free connection
First activate SIM1 or SIM2 and the open the car
Switch of SIM1 or SIM 2 and the open the car

Problem 2 – Establishing the SAP Connection
No idea.

Problem 3 – Reactivate the Phone after leaving the car
Before leaving the car:
a) Connection at the car-radio deactivated (Phone off)
b) Bluetooth at the phone deactivated

Whatever I do before leaving the car, the phone doesn’t reactivate the network connection

Only to make sure: this happens without my app? I'm quite sure my app will not (yet?) work on this phone.

At first glance I also don't understand these restrictions. Maybe they have technical reasons, maybe not. It's hard to find without a device in my hands.
