Getting RSAP to work on Samsung Galaxy S IV I9502 (dual sim)

Post by ginfizz01 » Tue Dec 10, 2013 6:30 pm

Good evening,

I looking for anyone's input on getting rSAP to work between my Galaxy S IV dual SIM and my Audi.
I installed the rSAP from Google Play and the app seems to work fine. The "Car phone" option appears on the selection menu when I pair the phone to the car (previously, I only had the "handfree" option).

However, as I get the message "Phone successfuly connected as car phone" on my car's MMI and the icon of a successful pairing on my phone (a sim card with a small bluetooth icon attached), after less than a second, the connection is reset. I get back to the search menu for a bluetooth phone. The car never gets to asking my the PIN number of the sim card.

I am a little desperate for solution. If anyone has any idea on how to proceed, I will be very grateful.

It looks like you didn't run the installer app to install the system files. This needs root access.

After installing the system files please check if the phone still works, especially if you can switch between the SIM cards. I guess it will no longer work. Anyway try to connect to your car and create a log.

I just moved to Android 4.3 running SVA rom 4.5
However, when I now try to use "RSAP installation App v2.4.4" I get the following message as I launch the installation.

"Installation failed
Kill -9 2454 faliled /data/data/com.android_rsap.rsapinstall/files/install.sh[3]: kill: 2454: operation not permitted".

Super user rights are granted, so I do not know what is happening.

Obviously the rSAP app then fails and displays "SIM State : Socket Connect error".

Any idea how I can proceed from there?

Simply reboot. The error happens in the very last step, a reboot does the same.

Thanks for your quick response,

I rebooted the phone, I got the exact same error message.
I will anyway try to connect to my car and see the result. I doubt it will work but one never knows.

The situation is even worse now.

As soon as I try to install the rSAP files, the bluetooth crashes and will not switch on again. The message I get from the phone is "Bluetooth sharing has stopped". I was force to reboot my phone twice in recovery mode to get the bluetooth back.
It is very frustrating so if anyone can help, I will be more than happy.

I guess that proves that it doesn't work. Sorry.
