CM12.1 Nightly builds?

Post by bahnstormer » Tue Sep 29, 2015 10:15 am

Is CM12.1 supported at all?

I upgraded from CM11 to CM12.1 about 6 weeks ago using a recommended late July Nightly build.

I'm sure I tested that build and it was fine, but since then I've had an "invalid mount point" error when I try to run the installer post upgrade.

I'm installing a new Nightly now and I'll confirm the exact errors shortly.

Did you explicitly enable root access in Android/CyanogenMod settings?

Good call by the way: looks like SuperSU needed an update (to be run as a .zip install in TWRP)...

Previously, it was launching the installer, but just failing as per the error message above.

This time, I checked and all the Root-app profiles were missing, so when I ran the installer it asked me to re-authorise root access and then chose "standard non-S3mini" and it seemed to run.

Reboot complete and I'll test it all when I collect my car later today.

Sorry about the 4 week delay, but just to confirm: the "invalid mount point" issue was definitely SuperSU being stuck in a state of needing a binary update (but never actually popping up and saying it needed an update until I launched it directly).

Fixed SuperSU (downloaded it to the SD card and applied the zip in TWRP recovery) and then back into CM12.1, applied the RSAP Installer and since then, every time it connects to the car perfectly (in "Car Phone" mode, i.e. RSAP active with the car fully online).
