Well, it took me also some time (about 4 weeks) especially for the whole email conversation prior to the buy. Have you got any reply about the status?

On the internet page it says he is on holidays. I accept that :D
But I guess if I ordered at ibuygou.com it would have been faster. And in the meantime even the price dropped another 20€.

Still no sign of life from Shenzen... I sent the money more than 4 weeks ago and mails stay unanswered. I surely cannot recommend tradingshenzen! I thought it was an advantage to have someone who speaks my language in China in case there might be issues with the phone that require sending it in. But if that takes as long as getting the phone... :(

If it was possible to sell an MI2 with little loss on eBay I'd order a second one from ibuygou.com...

Update: The phone is already in Germany, maybe I'll get it tomorrow. The delay was caused by his holiday. As I said before, I accept that. If he only had told me ;)

Complained yesterday, received the phone today! So if you are patient and don't order in holiday season I can recommend tradingshenzen :D

Now back to the topic: Bad news - for me... There is a very simple reason why my app doesn't work on the MI2S: it collides with the already existing rSAP in the stock ROM! I'm puzzled that nobody ever checked that before :o

It's only strange that with my VW I get the above state, but with my Porsche it says nothing about SIM access, but it works! Well, nobody's perfect...

So it seems that wombie ran into a compatibility issue with his Audi, like they also happen with my app. If you have similar problems please let me know as long as I have my MI2S (might be selling it). Maybe I'll try to kill the internal rSAP to replace it with my app, if it helps.

I experienced some problems with the built-in rSAP and found a quick way to disable it, so I wrote a small plugin that kills the built-in rSAP and enables my app. You can find it right here: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=994. Remember that you will have to enable/disable rSAP in my app once after installation of the plugin and after a reboot.

In case you still cannot connect to your car you can now create a log and mail it to me. I will try to fix more issues in the plugin.

The MI2S takes a very long time to establish the rSAP connection, sometimes up to 15 seconds. I hope all car phones accept that and don't abort the connection.

Hi, thank you very much for your efforts.

First of all, I am interested in your Firmware Version. I have actually running MIUI Germany 3.7.12. However, there is no option to select SIM Access (see Screenshots).

On the other hand some rsap libraries might be there (under the hood) since your plugin works the way it should. :) May its just a matter of the UI which does not provide the switch for me.

Finally, the rsap connection works fine. I will test the phone book functionality later. Once again, thank you.

Edit: OK. I tested the phone book. The built in PBAP did not work properly with my RNS510 VW UHV Prem. I just bought the Phonebook App and it works like a charm. Now, everything is fine for me.

----------------
MI2s FW 3.7.12 (MIUI Germany)
VW Passat UHV Prem (with RNS 510)
with Xiaomi Plugin
rsap app and phonebook app
perfect :D

I have 3.7.19 on my phone, but I don't think the rSAP feature was added recently. It's basically contained in all recent Qualcomm RIL libraries, I guess Xiaomi simply bought the Bluetooth layer from Qualcomm.

I made some more tests and found out that the slow connection in fact leads to an abort with the Audi SAP adapter, but it seems to be an issue with the SIM card (German E-Plus). A different card works well. But Xiaomi/Qualcomm forgot to handle the SIM PIN, so you have to enter it every time when you leave the car. Not good...

I'll try to change the plugin that it works completely automatically, but this will require a new app version, so it may take a while.
