DUN plugin works ?

Post by Jfast » Tue Dec 31, 2013 2:20 pm

Hi,

I see in your picture that you got the data share (DUN plungin) ON your VW head unit.
Have you make a kernel module for the Nexus 5 ?
Can you share it ?

Thanks a lot

The DUN plugin doesn't work anymore on recent Android versions. I have the data icon because I upgraded to the WiFi capable Premium box (part no 3C8 035 730D).

OK thanks for the reply.

Are you satisfy by the wifi capable version ?

I will probably buy that one.

It's like a dream come true :D
I simply pulled out the old box plugged in the new one and it worked. Of course you have to redo the pairing but that's simple. The new version takes a few seconds longer to connect.

It is a good idea to configure the car WiFi hotspot as a mobile hotspot in Android settings - see here at the bottom: http://www.android-rsap.com/faq/107.html
