update to lollipop fails due to bt_stack.conf

Post by delicats » Tue Dec 02, 2014 7:50 pm

Hi,

I am trying to update my rooted Nexus 4.4.4 to 5.0.

I want to apply the OTA not to loose all configuration etc.

From the previous updates I know that I need to uninstall the rsap files and also need to convert to the stock recovery and appropriate radio (I used KTU84P and alternatively KTU84Q).

But when I apply the OTA directly, or via sidelode and the NRT it fails telling me about the unexpected content of the bt_stack.conf.

Can this have to do with using the rSAP installation (in this case removal) tool?

Any suggestions what to do?

cheers

dirk

The HCI log settings are in this file. On my Lollipop Nexus it begins like this:
Code: Select all
# Enable BtSnoop logging function
# valid value : true, false
BtSnoopLogOutput=false

# BtSnoop log output file
BtSnoopFileName=/sdcard/btsnoop_hci.log

Maybe you used my HCI logger app? This changes the filename.

Strange that the update checks this file...

Mine looks like

# Enable BtSnoop logging function
# valid value : true, false
BtSnoopLogOutput=false

# BtSnoop log output file
BtSnoopFileName=/storage/emulated/0/rsap/20131214_163940.281_hci.cap

# Enable trace level reconfiguration function
# Must be present before any TRC_ trace level settings
TraceConf=true

# Trace level configuration
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_NONE 0 ( No trace messages to be generated )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_ERROR 1 ( Error condition trace messages )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_WARNING 2 ( Warning condition trace messages )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_API 3 ( API traces )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_EVENT 4 ( Debug messages for events )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_DEBUG 5 ( Full debug messages )
# BT_TRACE_LEVEL_VERBOSE 6 ( Verbose messages ) - Currently supported for TRC_BTAPP only.
TRC_BTM=2
TRC_HCI=2
TRC_L2CAP=2
TRC_RFCOMM=2
TRC_OBEX=2
TRC_AVCT=2
TRC_AVDT=2
TRC_AVRC=2
TRC_AVDT_SCB=2
TRC_AVDT_CCB=2
TRC_A2D=2
TRC_SDP=2
TRC_GATT=2
TRC_SMP=2
TRC_BTAPP=2
TRC_BTIF=2

Do you suggest me editing it?

Cheers
Dirk

Yes, try to set the 'BtSnoopFileName' to '/sdcard/btsnoop_hci.log'. If that doesn't work you need to get an unmodified version of the file from somewhere. A KitKat ROM zip file may be a good source, e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/google- ... x-t2771010

Hi,

I#ve resolved the issue...actually it must have been my error, as somehow in the past I must have been deleting the file.

Restarting the logger creates a new one and then the update runs through

Thanks
