CM14.1 CAF/radio 2.0.50.2.30/Audi MMI3G+/rsap not visible

Hello,
I use the RSAP tool for a very long time now. Since the Nexus 5 gets no update to android versions > 6.0.1 I decided to update the phone to cyanogenmod 14.1. (CAF version). After the update and the corresponding factory reset I installed all my apps (e.g. RSAP) again via Titanium Backup and installed the system files again via the RSAP installer -> check marks were all green. So far everything worked fine! My Nexus 5 connected successfully to my Audi MMI via RSAP (car phone).
After a few days I installed the latest nightly of CM (+ rsap system files) and after that the rsap bt profile was not visibile any more for my Audi MMI3G+. In the RSAP installer app everything looks fine -> check marks are all green...but when I search for my Nexus in the MMI, only the hands free and audio player profiles are visible.
I did some very basic logcat investigation and didn't find any errors regarding rsap. What logs should I provide in order to help debugging this problem? I downloaded HCI Logger App and enabled logging in RSAP app.
Thanks for your help!
BR Carsten

Where did you get CM14.1 from? The CyanogenMod download servers seem to be dead and I could not find downloads for the new Lineage OS.

Until then you may try to remove the small Bluetooth lib - it should not be necessary for Android 6+. It's located somewhere in system/lib/hw and is called something like bluetooth.*.so. Do not remove bluetooth.default.so!

Hi,
I downloaded the nightly from 20.12. I was not aware of the changes regarding CM community. Hopefully linageOS will be a good successor.

I removed a file called bluetooth.msm8974.so (and also rebooted my phone), but this did not change anything. The car phone profile is still not found by the MMI. :(

I have same problem with CM 14.1 nightly from 16.12. I can upload the zip file to my dropbox folder and send you a link if it helps.
As far as I know the problem started after I was on a call on my Nexus 5 and during call I started my Audi - rsap did work before with same CM version. During call my phone was automatically connected with hands free profile to the car which is fine because otherwise it would have been interrupted. After the call I was not able to switch back to rsap profile. I tried a Android restart, disable and enable bluetooth, deleting phone from car and reconnect. In rSAP installation app all is green.

Hello,
meanwhile I installed Lineage OS (14.1-20170124-NIGHTLY) on my Nexus 5. As supposed the behavior is exactly the same as with CM14.1. In the installer app all checks are green, but the MMI doesn't show the "car phone" entry.

Carsten

I tested the latest LineageOS 14.1 versions (unofficial CAF and official non-CAF) and could not find a problem.
Maybe it's some setting in the Audi? Maybe a fresh pairing helps?

Damn, I was afraid of getting the info this wouldn't be reproducible.
I paired the phone several times. I also did a factory reset. (Once with CM14.1 and again after switching to LineageOS) The HTC M7 of my wife connects to my Audi via "car phone" without problem.
What else should I try?

Sorry, I cannot find a single attempt by the car to access the SIM access profile, only Handsfree, phonebook and audio. Maybe you switched off rSAP permanently somewhere in your car?

Hi,
I just tried to connect my wife's HTC One M7 and it connects successfully with phone car service.
Maybe the MMI checks the provided Bluetooth services and doesn't recognize rSAP and therefor doesn't try to connect via this profile?
