Well, 2 days with G2 (D802), stock firmware, not rooted. The car is Audi A8 2010, MMI 3G+ with online services.
There is native rsap support. Everything works just fine - fast pairing and connection, phonebook transfer, phonecalls and internet. Didn't try sms, but I don't think it has any specific issues. So there is a chance that other models like D801, D803, etc. are rsap compatible too.
Basically I can say that the phone is very good - fast cpu, nice screen, beefy battery, rsap support (sorry admin  )

@ texdo,

Thanks for this interesting report. I have two questions:
- Are you sure to use rSAP for coupling? I thought the Audi MMi can HFP too ;) Have you been requested to enter a 16-digit pin number or a four digit pin number during the initial coupling?
- Do you know the differences between D801, D802, D803? Where did you get your phone from? How to explore the exact type in advance?

Welcome :)
- Yes, it can HFP. Before I rooted my Motorola and istalled rsap (you can find my posts here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=844) it had worked in hands-free mode. Regarding 16-digit pin - I used to have it with Mercedes and several Nokia phones. With my Audi it's different (don't know if it's same with other models) - while pairing MMI offers 3 connection options - car phone, headset, audio player. When you select car phone MMI asks if the 6-digit pin on it's screen is the same as the one that appears on the phone's screen. You select "yes" on both screens and the pairing is done. Then the phone's GSM function falls asleep (no way to make a phone call or send sms from it) and you have all it's performance with MMI controls. I guess it's definitely rsap.
- I think the difference depends on market. Mine is the only one officially available in Russia, I got it from local retailer. "D802" is marked on the phone's package so you can check at your local store what model they have. And make sure that your model supports rsap because G2s for North America listed on bluetooth.org seem not to do that.
Good luck ;)

The 6-digit pairing is used in recent devices, the latest VW Premium also uses it. It's a lot easier than entering the 16 digits :D

Maybe the American devices don't even have a SIM card. That would explain why they don't support rSAP. In Germany it looks like you also get the D802.

OK.

RSAP does work out of the box! (Stock ROM 4.2.2 - D802, international version). 3G is also displayed.

I have a 2011 VW Premium.

My only issue is the data connection. Anyone has an idea? (I tried to setup the DUN Modem in the car phone > web.vodafone.de - no luck. Would that be sufficent or would I have to do something else?).

Thanks!

Did you try BlueVPN? It worked for me before I switched to the new WiFi capable "Premium" box.

Are you sure to connect through rSAP? From 2011 the VW Premium supports both rSAP and HFP.

My phone gets it via wi-fi connection from the car's headunit. Does you car have something like wi-fi hotspot option?
