SM-N920C (Samsung Note 5)

Post by rides » Wed Feb 17, 2016 4:25 pm

Hi all, first timer here (UK) . Recently purchased the all new Samsung Note 5 and it works like a dream. However, I have also just changed my car to a an Audi Q5 (late 2014) and the rSAP does not seem to work. Bluetooth is working fine in the standard hand set pairing to the MMI but cannot get the extended services to work. The question I have is , does the Note 5 have rSAP as standard or do I need install the application ?

Many thanks in advance.

I'd be surprised if the Note 5 did not support rSAP out of the box.

I rather guess your Audi doesn't support rSAP. It's not easy to tell if an Audi supports rSAP, because Audi changes the names of the necessary options from time to time, and also changes the relationship between the options and rSAP. A Q5 should have "Audi connect with car phone", while a new A6 needs "Audi connect" and "Phone Box". An A3 with "Audi connect" and "Phone Box" does not support rSAP! Outside of Germany the necessary option may be called "Bluetooth High".

Confused? In case of doubt ask your local Audi service...
