There are a number of other A-series phones being released, A20/A30/A40/A50/A70/A80 etc.
I can manage without rSAP as Audi does support HFP (unlike my old VW Passat), but it was nice to use rSAP so I could share my phone's data connection with the cars on-board Wifi hotspot, the kids could connect their tablets to the car and I didn't need to enable Wifi hotspot on the phone. So it's a little backward step but not the end of the world.
I'm still wondering if the A9 (2018) will work as I did have a chance to get one but only went for the A50 because it's newer. I haven't found out if the A9 is dual-SIM yet - I might try a second hand once when they have dropped in price a bit.
