Hi,

I tried to connect to rSAP with my nexus 6 64Gb (Pure Nexus 6.0.1 with Elemental X) but it did not give me enough time to enter the 16 digit code but only a few seconds, in which time I could only enter the first 4 numbers after which the screen disappeared.
I have attached a log.

Thank you

I know this behavior, it usually happens with very old VW Premiums and Nokia 61x. It is most likely a problem of the car phone, so it will help to reset as much as possible in the car, e.g. delete users, etc.

Of course there is also a chance that the maker of the custom ROM wrecked the Bluetooth stack. Bluetooth pairing is done somewhere deep inside the Android Bluetooth stack, an app is not bothered with it. I'd try the official Google firmware.

Thanks Admin,

I have tried the stock ROM but it disconnected right after connection, then same thing with PN ROM.
With the latest updates, I get what I explained in my previous post.
Do you know of a working way on Nexus 6 or should I give up?

Thanks

It's been a long time since I last experienced your problem with my Nokia 616, I remember I did a factory reset to fix it. I'm quite sure it is a bug in the old Nokia rSAP devices.

The only thing you can do is to reset as much as possible in the car phone. Since there is no factory reset option for the VW Premium (although I remember I once saw one...), at least delete all users. Then switch off the car, lock it and wait for a minute. You may also try to remove the connector from the Premium box below the passenger seat, this also resets additional data, like stored SIM PINs.

If you didn't wipe your phone after switching ROM, at least remove the car from the Bluetooth devices in Android Bluetooth settings.

Hi Admin,

I tried 2 stock images (MMB29X and MMB29V).
a. I had to use recovery method for rsap installer
b. Lost SIM right after.

Then, clean flashed Pure Nexus ROM but again entering the 16 digit pin, the screen disappeared.

As I have the RSAP cradle in the armrest (Audi S3, RNS-E 2010) I have the ability to factory reset which i did in all cases.

Thanks

If you have to use the recovery installation there is something wrong with root on your phone. The Nexus 6 surely does not have a write protection like the HTCs used to have. Did you ever run a root checker app? What does "lost SIM" mean?

I'll try with my Audi adapter, but I'm quite sure that it will work fine...

Hi,
Although all my root requiring apps including Titanium backup did run fine, I tried root checker and everything is OK.

About the "lost SIM", I did not have signal right after flashing rsap installer through TWRP 3.0.2.0 and the SIM card icon was greyed and crossed. After uninstalling/rebooting signal was fine.

Do you use the latest "systemless" SuperSU 2.70? Do you use the latest installer app from Play Store or did you save some preliminary test version from this forum?
I cannot explain what is happening on your phone...
