Have just relised Google have alreday released two updates for the 5X but they have not been pushed OTA yet. Have just downloaded the latest and flashed it but stupidly had not unlocked my bootloader already so got to reset everything up again.

Will check tomorow if it makes any diffrence with rSAP.

Please note there is now an option to allow bootloader unlocking in the Developer Options that needs to be set (and if people need an explanation how to get into Developer Options they should not be doing it).

Cool, given nothing has changed on the bug I filed I doubt it'll be fixed yet but it'll be good to confirm.

The workaround using trigger to cycle the bluetooth is working flawlessly for me so I'd definitely suggest that or a similar solution until it's fixed :)

Hi!
My Nexus 5x support rsap "out of the box", without any additional software.
The only one issue - it doesnt handle bt disconnect and its necessary reboot phone to reconnect to car again.

Gerik, you might get away with just cycling the bluetooth as it worked flawlessly for my 5x on MDB808L.

Just updated to MMB29K so I should find out later if this has now been resolved.

MMB29K (6.0.1) still has the same problem. Mine now needs a full cold reboot between reconnections to the car.

I think it gas something to do with a background process needing to be restarted not just Bluetooth.

Any news on making the app compatible?

Didn't I mention it here? Support for 64 bit Qualcomm is contained in the latest installer app version. If someone with a rooted Nexus 5X would like to try, please run the SIM test in the rSAP app after running the installer. If it works the only hurdle may be the already running Google rSAP service. It should be possible to stop this service in Android app settings in the list of active apps. It's most probably running inside the Bluetooth app, it's name may be something like "SapService". After stopping the built-in service it may be possible to start my app. Since the built-in service is most probably restarting automatically you may need several retries.

If this all succeeds I may modify my app to kill the built-in service automatically. Since Google seems to need some more time to fix the issues, this may help a few people...

Admin, if you are still awake? Where does the RSAP installer app create the Zip for the recovery install option? The normal install does not work as I think the System partion is locked.

Thanks
