Testversion for Samsung phones with Android 6

Post by admin » Sat Aug 27, 2016 2:04 pm

This installer app version contains the system files for Samsung phones with stock Android 6 firmware. Choose "Recent phones with Android 6+ RIL" when installing.

Use installer version 3.0.2+ from Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... sapinstall

The new system files are not working with older Samsung phones and Android 6 firmware (like CyanogenMod 13), since the RIL library is still the one of the last official Samsung firmware version. It is the version of the RIL library that counts.

Known problems:

  • The installer app may report an error and the Bluetooth connection may fail after running the installer app. Be sure to reboot the phone always after running the installer app.
  • Sometimes there is a timeout error after touching the install button. The rSAP app should work nonetheless (after reboot).

Hi,

Only just tried this as I have been away.

The file loaded OK and I rebooted the phone and there is progress of sorts. I now get an error "Timeout waiting for STATUS_IND".

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Did you reboot and restart the installer app? Does it still show an error?

Updated installer app, uninstalled system files, reinstalled system files and rebooted phone. I then get this error.

I also tried connecting to the car which failed but afterwards the phone couldn't talk to the SIM saying no SIM present which cleared after a reboot.

It therefore appears that the phone has passed control of the SIM but something else has failed?

It looks like the 32 bit version of the new Samsung system files is not working properly. I bought an S5 and will try to fix that over the weekend.

I updated the installer in the first post. It works on my S5.

Ok. So I downloaded the new installer and uninstalled/rebooted/installed/rebooted and now get the following error.

Parameter 'Status Change' is not 'Card Reset RIL_SIM_OPEN failed (6).

I am running on Android 6.0.1 and have a UK BT(EE) sim.

Any ideas why mine doesn't work?

I get this error on the S6 when I run the installer app a second time. The first time it (nearly...) always works. After reboot DON'T run the installer app before the rSAP app, else it will not work. Did you already try that?

The SIM check seems to wreck something which a "normal" rSAP connection does not. With the S5 this also hapens, but a lot less frequently.

I don't think it is caused by the SIM card.
