Moto G compatability

Post by DS43 » Thu Nov 28, 2013 9:24 pm

Hi,

Just got a new Moto G and need Rsap to connect to VW passat. Phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.

This is my first Android phone so no idea how to add Rsap feature. Is there an app for this? :?:

Thanks

This means it doesn't work out of the box?

Maybe my app will work, but you need root to install it and there is currently no reliable way to root it.

Hi,
I just noticed that there is root access for the Moto G. Has anybody tried to get rsap to work?

I don't understand what's happening. The Moto G seems to sell like hotcakes, but nobody asks for rSAP

I'm also on the way to buy one, but I'd like to be sure if it's compatible with our Premium FSE (unfortunately without HFP-Profile). Anyway, I'm quite confident that it's going to work as it's running an almost stock android. ;)

It doesn't matter what Android runs on it. It only depends on the radio software and RIL library. Since the Moto G uses a recent Qualcomm SoC, chances are high.

I've just tested rSap on the Moto G - but unfortunately, without success.

No reaction at all. Bluetooth SIM Access says, that no Bluetooth connection is established...

Cheers Tom

This may simply mean that your car does not use rSAP for phone operation. What car do you have? Do you have a Windows PC with Bluetooth?

The installer app worked? No error message in the rSAP app's screen?

Hello Martin,

my car only supports rSAP, the Moto G only PBAP. :(

Installation was fine, no error. Also no error message on the app screen.

Cheers Tom

ps: Bootloader is unlocked, root is enabled.
pps: no german forum here?

Can you please mail me a "main" log?

Mich stört es eigentlich nicht wenn auch deutsche Posts eingestellt werden. Man sollte halt dann bei einer Sprache bleiben ;)
Ups... Selbst nicht dran gehalten.
