rSAP for HTC T328W (Desire V)

Post by raphael_ding » Sat May 19, 2012 4:53 am

I installed rSAP 2.0 trial on my HTC T328W (Desire V with Android OS 4.0) and attempted to connect to VW RNS510, but SIM STATE always shows "Socket Connect Error" and connection failed.

What problems could this be?

Did you run the installer app? Your phone must be rooted for this!
Recent single-core HTC phones may no longer work, but I did not yet find a pattern when it works and when it does not.

it was ROOT and both installer and trial were installed.

How possible that rSAP can work on new HTC single-core phone in the future?

And did you press the "Install" button in the installer app? You saw the "socket connect error" in the log? That's normal for a while until the rSAP app is started. If the phone is not compatible it will most probably show "connecting" in the SIM state and then hang. I'll try to find a ROM or RUU to check the radio image.

I don't plan to work on the new HTC phones. It is a huge amount of work without the guarantee that I will succeed at all. Additionally I don't have a HTC, and even worse, I don't want one :?
I'm desperately waiting for the SGS3...

Edit: found out that this is a variant of the HTC One V (Primo). The One V should work.

I installed the system files in installer. I launched the BT from trial version interface, then it shows SIM STATE as 'socket connect error" all the time, while Bluetooth State shows "VW Phone" since it tries to make connection. But finally all failed.

Hmm... Socket connect error sounds like root problems... Can you try to update the su binary in Superuser settings just to see if it works?

I now took a look at the radio image. Does not look like this phone supports rSAP :(

You have got the RUU file for T328W, but if it is a variant of ONE V, it should support rSAP?

I got the RUU from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1624294
The radio image is completely different to the HTC One V ("Primo") and does not contain the rSAP functions. This is all a big mess with the names: the "HTC T328W" is called "Desire V" and "Wind", but the RUU has "Primo" in it's name, although the "One V", aka. "Primo" is a completely different phone

If the RUU is really from your phone then rSAP will not work.

maybe because this Desire V (T328W) is tailor-made for China Unicom, it doesn't include many features as that thread mentioned. It seems not possible, at least by now, to utilize rSAP on this one.
