Until now I do not get tthe connection running with my VW Golf VI mit Pemium FSE ( 2009).
Then I rooted it and tried to install rSAP...
But: when I try to install rSAP (v2.2.5) there's a message showing up which says that Samsung native rsap is existing on the phone.
What shell I do?
S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
The installer has the option to disable Samsung native rSAP. The message is only there to remind you that the phone should support rSAP without my app. If you uninstall the rSAP system files the native Samsung software is restored, so you can't break anything.
Strange that you could not connect with the Samsung rSAP software. Does it connect and immediately disconnect?

Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
Thanks for quick reply...
My car says: "no compatible phone found" or something like that.... I tried it several times... but it never worked.
So if I can't damage anythin and I will be able to restore the antive files I will try the installation app...

No need for the app with the s3.
After failing miserably for the last three months with my cm10.1m2 modified nexus4 and Android revolution hd modded OneX+, I just tried a friend's s3 and rSAP worked flawlessly, stock room, no app, no root, it just worked out the box!
Only debate for me now is do I go for the s4 or s4 mini?

I guess the S4 will have rSAP, but the S4 mini may not. At least the S3 mini doesn't have rSAP support in it's stock ROM.
Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
Looks like the S4 mini will have it: https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=20923
Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
There will be nothing left for me
It will be complicated with the new Samsungs anyway: Samsung will not use the Broadcom Open Source Bluetooth stack with their Android 4.2, which is not too bad, because it is lousy (Nexus 4...). Currently I don't know if I can replace the built-in Samsung rSAP and PBAP, so better hope it works flawlessly

Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
I have got latest Samsung Fame with Android 4.2.1. After reading all those issues I was happy that this phone connected well with my VW Premium - 2009, transfered phone book. But every 2-3 minutes it behaves like there is no signal and reconnect. After some trials like that, I got a message phone does not reply. Any idea why?
Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
Samsung Fame (GT-S6810P?) supports rSAP out of the box or with my rSAP app? Do you have my phonebook app installed? Really Android 4.2, not 4.1?
Re: S3 Android 4.1.2: native RSAP?
yes, Samsung GT-S6810P out of the box, with Android 4.1.2.. No, I have not installed your application yet (did not find root program or rather profile for this type of mobile). So first I would like to try to solve that without rooting if possible.
